A voicemail, as an email
When nobody picks up, the caller leaves a message. The recording is emailed to the recipients you choose, as an MP3 attachment, so you can listen on any phone without dialling in anywhere.
To: the recipients you chose
Received: Tuesday, 9:42 am
A caller left a voicemail on your business line.
Recording attached (MP3)When transcription produces text, the transcript follows in a second email:
Transcript
"Hi, my kitchen tap has been dripping since last night and it is getting worse. Could someone call me back today? My number is five five five, zero one zero, zero one four two. Thanks."
The transcript is generated by software, so check the recording when a name, number or address matters. The wording and layout of the real emails can differ from these samples.
The dashboard
The person who signed up signs in to a dashboard with an emailed link. Nobody else on the team needs an account. It shows:
- the business number and its status;
- the voicemails, each of which you can play, read as a transcript or delete;
- this month's calls, minutes and forwarded minutes, and the recent calls;
- the menu, which you edit and publish there, with a history of earlier versions you can restore;
- the billing portal.
Voicemails are kept in your dashboard for 365 days.
Anything else
Keeping an existing number is done in the app: porting is the default first step, and you follow the transfer's status there. For a change the dashboard does not cover, email [email protected]. The pricing page lists everything included in the $29 a month.
