About

A business number without a phone system to manage.

Auto Attendant gives a team one public phone number. It answers, asks the caller where to go and rings the right phone.

The problem it addresses

A small team may have one person in the office, another on the road and someone else covering weekends. Customers still need a single number to remember. Without one, personal mobile numbers end up on vans, invoices and websites. When a person changes role, the business has to change every place that number was printed.

Many business phone platforms solve that problem by giving each person an account and charging for each seat. That model makes sense if everyone needs their own calling identity, app and desk phone. When people simply need to receive calls on the mobiles they already carry, one shared number with a menu does the job. Our price is $29 a month in USD for the whole company, with no per-person charge.

What follows from one number

The business publishes one local or toll-free number, or brings its existing number. A greeting, read by text-to-speech in English, French, Spanish or any mix, presents up to seven options. The caller chooses; each option rings up to three phones in turn, takes a voicemail, or plays a message and hangs up. Outside business hours, callers hear a closed message and can leave a voicemail. If nobody answers, voicemail sends the recording by email, with the transcript in a second email. Follow a call from start to finish.

There are no seats to allocate. Adding a person who should receive calls does not change the monthly price.

The team keeps its own mobile plans and normal diallers. There is no app or desk phone to install. People calling the business number need not learn individual mobile numbers. If a team member calls a customer back from their own mobile, that outgoing call uses their own mobile caller ID because this service does not place outbound calls.

Who it is for

Teams that answer their own calls and need callers to reach the right person: a service crew, a small office with several responsibilities, or a business whose callers mostly ask for one of a few people. The menu, routing and business hours are the product, and customers always talk to someone on your team.

How the reference pages are written

The guides explain choices around numbers, routing, porting and emergency calling. Where a page states a regulatory rule, numbering fact or another provider's feature or price, it links to the primary source and shows when it was checked. A page date is a checking date, not a promise that a third-party rule or price will stay fixed.

If a source has changed or a page is wrong, send the page URL and the correction through contact or email [email protected]. We review corrections against the source and update the page.
